About Irene Jaw, WHNP, MSN, RN
Irene received her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and worked as a RN in adult critical care for 7 years before going on to receive her Master's in Science in Nursing at the University of Colorado at Anschutz Medical Campus. During her Master's program, Irene participated in the Rural and Urban Underserved Fellowship program through the Center for Nursing Excellence. As a RN, Irene credentialed in the University of Colorado Health UExcel clinical advancement program to become a Level III RN. Irene has received multiple awards for Preceptor of the Quarter and patient excellence and has been recognized by her peers for her unit leadership and mentorship. Irene has also worked as a Forensic Nurse Examiner, where she worked with survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault and helped connect them to community follow up and treatment.
Irene has worked as a RN for the University of Colorado Hospital at Anschutz Medical Campus for the past 5 years and is now excited to join UCHealth as a nurse practitioner at the CU Medicine OB-GYN office at Highlands Ranch. Irene has special interests in pelvic pain/urinary incontinence, LGBTQ+/transgender care, and post-assault treatment and care.
